About Us
Sharon and John Abert are originally from Northern Indiana. Currently, they live in beautiful Cherokee Village, Arkansas, in the first planned retirement community in the country (est. 1955). Both John and Sharon had the opportunity to grow up on a farm and learned to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Sharon started taking piano lessons at an early age, and later accordion lessons, and organ instruction. She has served as church pianist and organist and has also provided special accordion music throughout her career. Sharon graduated from Nappanee High School, and South Bend College of Commerce. After twenty-seven years with Miles Laboratories (maker of Alka-Seltzer), she left her job in 1992 as executive assistant for the vice president and plant manager where they made the glucometers (for testing blood sugar) in order to follow her dreams for early retirement. John also enjoys music and at an early age took lessons on guitar and accordion, and also played drums. He received the North American Rockwell Corporation Award for Excellence in Industrial Arts when he graduated from Knox High School. He went on to attend Howard W. Sams Technical Institute and Ancilla College, and became a builder and master electrician with a specialty in robotics and automation. He also managed luxury apartment complexes where he used his repair knowledge when union work was slow. When they left "snow country" in 1992, they moved to Cherokee Village, traveled off and on for a while and finally ended up in Mesa, Arizona in the fall of 1994. They soon became interested in the internet and in 1999, they started Azgrand Internet Marketing at http://www.azgrand.com. In 2004, they acquired a distributorship with Ernst tool organizing products and have built it up to one of the largest full line stocking distributors of Ernst tool organizers on the internet and have recently moved it to http://www.toolsorter.com. In May of 2005 after ten years of living with the heat and traffic of Mesa, Arizona, they decided to return to Cherokee Village where family members are within a day's drive. Since relocating, they have also been buying and selling on popular auction sites. The single most important thing that has made their business successful is the importance they place on customer service. When an order comes in, the first thing they do is to acknowledge that with an email to the customer, thanking the customer for their purchase, and letting them know if all of the items are in stock and when they expect to ship. Then the customer gets another email after their product is shipped, to let them know the shipping method, and give them a tracking number. After those two initial emails, the only time they contact customers is to let them know about new product releases, or special sales of discontinued products. They do not flood your mailbox with a bunch of garbage. Both Sharon and John despise the mindless (and many times meaningless) messages kicked out by autoresponders, so to date they haven't started using one. Their emails have always been personally written. They answer each and every email they receive (within hours). This may have to change as their business grows, but they are going to hang onto this very important factor in their service for as long as they can. They both put their business and technical experience to use in their internet ventures doing whatever it takes to get the job done. They continue to search for manufacturers whose products will make your life more enjoyable and your shopping experience more fun. In fact, coming soon will be an Ebook that Sharon has written on "How to Transpose Music". |
